Although fresh plants give a graceful and charming effect, they need a lot of care, attention and are often difficult to maintain. So, if you’re interested in a greener aesthetic for your interiors and exteriors without all the hassle, then artificial plants have a lot to offer. They have many benefits compared to natural plants, and we’ve listed some of the advantages below.
More Cost Effective
Real plants may be cheaper to buy up front but will require ongoing tending to that always comes with a price tag. They may take years to reach their full height and will eventually die and need to be replaced. When it comes to maintenance, if you fail to follow the watering routine your plants may begin to fade. However, with artificial flowers, to maintain them you only need to dust about once a month and that’s it. It’s easy and convenient for people who don’t have a green thumb and lack the time to care for one.
Faux plants may be pricier than real ones, but this is because you have to consider how much time and effort it takes to take care of natural greenery. Why spend money on a plant that will die in a matter of time when you can get an artificial version of the same plant that can last forever?
Significantly Less Maintenance
As mentioned above, real plants require ongoing tending such as pruning, watering, fertilizing, etc. They also need to be moved to certain spots to ensure adequate water or sunlight. Temperature changes could also be problematic. For artificial plants it’s really only necessary to wipe the leaves down from time to time if they start to collect dust.
Durability
Artificial plants, especially products like ours that are made from silk, will last for a very long time if you care for them. No matter if it’s summer or winter, artificial plants will remain the same, without leaves falling off or the stems growing out of shape. Also, artificial florals maintain the same color all year round, so you can keep the same home or office theme.
You must have the right environment and space for real greenery. If you don’t have the right amount of sunlight or humid atmosphere you could end up severely restricted. This isn’t a limitation you have to keep in mind with artificial plants. You can place them in any spot you’d like, no matter where the sun is or what the temperature is.
Real plants could possibly be the source of a lot of issues for humans in the same space. More than 19 million people are allergic to pollen, a substance that comes from plants. They may even be responsible for poisoning if they are touched or consumed by children or pets. Real flowers and plants could also bring germs and pests into your home through the soil. You don’t have to worry about any of these problems with artificial plants. They are free from spray and preservatives, and don’t have pollens.
